College is a time for exploration. No one knows that better than the faculty and staff at an art and design college! At NHIA, you get much more than a degree. You have the opportunity to explore subject matter outside of your degree, even at different colleges. You'll meet people who will change your perspective, move you forward, and help shape your future. Whether you want to study down the street, across the country, or abroad, we have a variety of options.
UNH Manchester Partnership
NHIA has recently expanded our academic partnership with University of New Hampshire (UNH) Manchester that will allow full-time students from both colleges to take classes on either campus, thus bringing together the fine arts, design and creative writing skills that NHIA is known for with the strong business, science, technology, engineering and math courses offered by UNH Manchester. This collaboration aligns our 118-year-old, private, non-profit art and design college with the Manchester branch of the state’s public liberal arts and sciences university to create a true Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) alliance.
This is a move that not only provides a solid educational foundation for students but also contributes to the continued economic success of Manchester, NH, which is home to over 17,000 college students and has been named by Fast Company as one of the next “top 10 cities for tech jobs” in America.
In today’s increasingly cost-constrained higher education landscape, this innovative partnership allows both colleges to provide more robust educational opportunities without incurring additional cost; classes taken through this collaborative arrangement won’t cost students at either institution a penny more than what they’re already paying for tuition. AICAD Exchange Program
When you attend NHIA you have the benefit of being able to spend one semester studying at a U.S. or Canadian AICAD partner school through their exchange program.
Through the AICAD Exchange program, full-time students in their junior year who are attending one of the 34 participating AICAD schools, have the unique opportunity to attend another school within AICAD for one semester at no additional cost or loss of credit. The AICAD Exchange program offers students the experience and benefit of studying at a different school and living in a different geographic area. By sharing resources and facilities, AICAD colleges offer unparalleled educational opportunities to students at AICAD schools. For more information, click here.
NHIA students wishing to spend a semester studying abroad will now be able to attend the Studio Arts Center International (SACI) in Florence, Italy starting in the fall of 2016. What’s more, they can take advantage of this amazing opportunity to study in Italy for a semester at no additional tuition and with no changes to their existing financial aid or scholarships. They pay only for the additional cost of international travel, room, food, visa and miscellaneous program costs. For more information about this, please contact our Registrar or visit SACI.
