SHARON ARTS STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS

PETERBOROUGH, NH - - - Sharon Arts Center is pleased to announce the following staff updates: Camellia Sousa has been promoted to the position of Exhibition Gallery Manager and reports directly to Bob Pettegrew, Executive Director. Previously, she was the Fine Craft Gallery and Store Manager. Camellia brings over 14 years of experience in retail and sales/management to Sharon Arts. She studied business management with a concentration in Marketing at Daniel Webster College in Nashua. Her experience in sales, leadership skills and her passion for art and craft make her an excellent addition to the Exhibition Gallery. She lives in Milford, NH with her husband, Brian.

Laura Redmond has joined Sharon Arts as the Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, she will oversee a growing community of over 100 volunteers and will be responsible for communications with them, matching the needs of the organization to each individual's talent, and insuring that they feel appreciated. Laura graduated from Wheaton College, and worked in Boston and New York in sales and marketing for subsidiaries of the Chase Manhattan Bank before moving back to NH in 1999. She has volunteered for numerous organizations in the Monadnock Region, including the Jaffrey Civic Center, the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center, and Monadnock at Home. Most recently she was a partner in the Redmond/Bennett Gallery in Dublin. Laura lives in Jaffrey with her husband, Michael.

Gillian Dierauf has been promoted to the Craft Gallery Coordinator. Gillian has worked with Sharon Arts Center since 2004 and has over 20 years experience in specialty retail management. Gillian graduated from Longwood University (formerly Longwood College) in Virginia. She reports to Camellia Sousa, Exhibition Gallery Manager. "The many craftspeople, artists, shop patrons and gallery visitors that we work with will be lucky to have Gillian's expertise in her new role as the Craft Gallery Coordinator," said Sousa. "She brings a wealth of experience in retail, and is also a long-time local resident who knows and enjoys our community."

Peter Wahl has been appointed to the role of Fine Art and Craft Assistant. Peter has over 20 years of experience in retail and has been employed by Sharon Arts Center since 2006. He graduated from Fisher College in Massachusetts. He resides in Bennington, New Hampshire with his wife, Peg Dellinger. He reports directly to Gillian Dierauf.

Kate Lenahan has also been appointed as a Fine Art and Craft Assistant. Kate previously worked at the Currier Museum, and was a gallery assistant for the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester. She worked for the Silo: Hunt Hill Farm Trust Gallery in Milford, CT, and did an internship with MW Studios in Manhattan. Kate studied at the Art Students League in New York City, and she holds a BFA in painting from New Hampshire Institute of Art, and also attended their summer program in Florence, Italy. She reports directly to Gillian Dierauf.

The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to support and serve artists and craftspeople, to engage the community in the artistic process, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events.

The Sharon Arts Downtown Galleries in Depot Square, Peterborough include a Fine Craft Gallery and Store, an Artists' Resource Center (selling art supplies), a Juried Artist Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery. Hours are Monday - Thursday 10am - 5pm, Friday and Saturday 10am - 6pm, and Sundays 11am - 4pm (Exhibition Gallery is closed on Mondays). Sharon Arts also offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH.
