Laura Redmond has joined Sharon Arts as the Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, she will oversee a growing community of over 100 volunteers and will be responsible for communications with them, matching the needs of the organization to each individual's talent, and insuring that they feel appreciated. Laura graduated from Wheaton College, and worked in Boston and New York in sales and marketing for subsidiaries of the Chase Manhattan Bank before moving back to NH in 1999. She has volunteered for numerous organizations in the Monadnock Region, including the Jaffrey Civic Center, the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center, and Monadnock at Home. Most recently she was a partner in the Redmond/Bennett Gallery in Dublin. Laura lives in Jaffrey with her husband, Michael.
The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to support and serve artists and craftspeople, to engage the community in the artistic process, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events. The Sharon Arts Downtown Galleries in Depot Square, Peterborough include a Fine Craft Gallery and Store, an Artists' Resource Center (selling art supplies), a Juried Artist Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery. Hours are Monday - Thursday 10am - 5pm, Friday and Saturday 10am - 6pm, and Sundays 11am - 4pm (Exhibition Gallery is closed on Mondays). Sharon Arts also offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH. Monday -Thursday 10am to 5pm - Only the Craft Gallery is open Mondays
Friday and Saturday 10am to 6pm
