Sharon Arts School of Art & Craft to host its bi-annual Open House on Saturday, September 12th

SHARON, NH --- Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization that’s committed to connecting the community with art, invites emerging artists with all levels of experience to explore our Fall course offerings this September through our Open House on Saturday, September 12th from 9:30 am – 3 pm. The Open House program offers a unique look behind the scenes at the School of Art & Craft on Route 123 in Sharon, and invites you to explore various media without a large commitment of time and materials. Faculty and staff will welcome you with coffee and refreshments, provide tours of our state-of-the-art school facility, and give you a chance to attend low-cost workshops in a variety of media during two sessions (10 am –12 pm and 1-3 pm). Coffee and refreshments (provided by SAC’s volunteers) from 9:30 – 10 am. Sharon Arts Members can attend one session for $20 or two for $35 (non-members attend for $20 per session or $40 per day) and bring a bag lunch to enjoy in between workshops (12 -1 pm). Open House course offerings include colored pencil, digital photo editing, drawing, glass bead & sculpture, oil painting, pottery, printmaking, weaving, and woodcarving. All workshops are lead by the Sharon Arts experienced teaching artist faculty and all materials and tools will be supplied courtesy of the School. Adults and youth ages 13+ are welcome to attend the Open House workshops. Pre-registrations for the Fall Open House are encouraged as space is limited. To pre-register, call the Sharon Arts School at (603) 924-7256 or email register@sharonarts.org. SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY Drawing for a FREE one-day SAC Workshop will take place at the end of the day. Tickets for the drawing will be available all day at the Open House. All proceeds from the drawing will benefit the School of Art & Craft. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. Our full schedule of weekly course and workshops available at any SAC location and through our website at www.sharonarts.org . Weekly fall courses begin the week of September 28th, offering Open House participants time to reflect on their experiences with us as they consider further exploration in the Fall session.
