Susan McGehee weaves with wire using traditional weaving techniques and patterns to create contemporary wall hangings. Pieces range from 2 to 24 inches and can be as long as 40 feet. McGehee also weaves Kimonos from bronze or stainless steel screening, embellishing them with scraps of wire, electronic odds and ends, and a variety of found objects. Measuring 12 inches by 12 inches to almost life size, the pieces have a look and feel of previous centuries. McGehee has shown in both solo and group exhibitions at Long Beach State University Art Museum; Triton Museum of Art; The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Gallery, Los Angeles; Burbank Creative Arts Center; Palos Verdes Art Center; Cultural Galleries at Petropavlovsk Russia and many more.

Awarded "Best Art Gallery" in 2002 by New Hampshire Magazine, The Sharon Arts Center is a non-profit center that has been committed to the arts and artists for more than 50 years. The School at Sharon Arts received the "Best Art Classes" award from New Hampshire Magazine in 2003.
