SHARON ARTS ... EXPOSED
An Annual Meeting with a Fun, Interactive Approach; and an Announcement of New Plans

Artist demos; door prizes; shopping discounts; refreshments - Everyone is welcome!

PETERBOROUGH, NH --- Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit arts organization, will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 20th at 5:00 pm in the Exhibition Gallery in downtown Peterborough on Grove Street. The event is free and open to the public, and promises to be a lively program comprised of interactive artist demos, shopping discounts, drawings for door prizes, light refreshments and a presentation and announcement of new plans for the Center.

"Over ten years ago, the Board of Trustees made a bold decision to move the Exhibition Gallery and Fine Craft Gallery and Store to downtown Peterborough," said Elizabeth Smith, Executive Director. "The Monadnock Region has enjoyed the many benefits of this decision through the diverse programs and shopping experiences offered by Sharon Arts as well as the increased foot traffic to the Depot Square/Downtown area - traffic that supports local businesses and our artists." Smith continued "We are excited about presenting new plans to the community - plans that will reinforce the Sharon Arts mission of connecting community with art."

The program itself is a divergence from the typical meeting format. Carolyn Howard, Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Sharon Arts, says that "we designed this annual meeting format to reflect what Sharon Arts does with a more 'hands-on' approach - offering activities and opportunities not just about making art, but also bringing the community together through it." Howard hopes that this format will become a tradition for all future Sharon Arts Center annual meetings, giving everyone an opportunity to experience and appreciate this valuable community resource.

The Sharon Arts Annual Meeting is open to the public, ample parking in Depot Square. The exhibition, "Heaven and Earth," by artist Humberto Ramirez, will also be on display for viewing during the program.
